Virtually all Cosmetic Surgeons are NOT Board Certified Plastic Surgeons
Most cosmetic and plastic surgeons are physicians from other specialties who may have only taken a weekend course in cosmetic procedures. They are not Board Certified or Board Eligible in plastic and reconstructive surgery. They are not credentialed or granted surgical privileges to perform cosmetic procedures in most hospitals.
