During the treatment session, Juvéderm is injected into the treatment area using a very fine needle. Because Juvéderm includes the anesthetic lidocaine, there is little to no discomfort during injections. Treatment is quick, commonly only lasting 15 minutes to complete. Patients are able to see results immediately, though they will improve within a few days, as swelling subsides.[/accordion-item]

There is minimal to no downtime associated with Juvéderm, with most patients returning to work right after treatment. Mild swelling and bruising may occur, but should resolve within a week. It is advised that patients protect their skin from the sun and avoid makeup for the first 10 days to ensure optimal results.
